My apartment sits along side the 12th
green of Prestonwood Country Club here
in Morrisville and Cary, NC (click the thumbnail for a full-size view of what I see
from my living room). For many years, the golf club has hosted the Jimmy V
tournament that has donated nearly eight million dollars to
The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
Saturday and Sunday I'll be sitting out
on my patio checking out the
sport and entertainment
figures who happen by. I suspect it will be a fun time for celebrities and fans
alike. I might even act like paparazzi and snap a few digital photos.

Beginning to settle in at the new job.
I'm focusing on system platforms I haven't worked with since 1998. I even amazed
myself a few times in recent days with stuff I remembered from as far back as four
years ago. Like they say, operating computers is like riding a bike.
It may take time to learn how, but once you do, it will stick with you forever.
Getting the apartment in shape bit by
bit too. Doing a touch of decorating here and there. No hurry. Hopefully I'll be
here for awhile. Been a long time since I lived alone.
