Took a trip back to Charleston, WV
Friday night. Went to get my driver's license renewed and my car inspected. Turned
right around and came back to NC Saturday afternoon.
Since my "official" home is still in
WV, at least until I get a permanent job offer somewhere, I thought it best to continue
as a WV driver. Actually, it was the easiest.
North Carolina requires new residents
to take the driving test to receive a license. They won't transfer from other states.
It wasn't that I can't pass the test ... taking time off work to wait in line for
hours is costly.
I'll be driving legal again now. In the
past few weeks, I've renewed my vehicle registration, and now the state inspection.
Little things like this make moving a hassle.
